SCOSNJ Test Session Dates

Skaters, you must be at the rink and prepared to skate 30 minutes ahead of your scheduled time. All skaters must check in at the registration desk so we know you are present.

Coaches, you must checkin at the registration desk. At registration you must show your coach registration credential, if you have received it, and a photo ID. In fairness to all coaches, even if we know who you are, you must still show a photo ID. Coaches will be given a coach pass for the test session which they must wear while coaching skaters.

Only coaches with a pass and skaters will be allowed at the rink door. Parents are encouraged to watch from the viewing area in the snack bar. As parents sitting in the stands and moving around within the rink can be a distraction to the skaters. We strongly encourage parents to watch from the viewing area within the snack bar, rather than in the rink.

A reminder about Coach Registration

In order to coach a skater at a US Figure Skating (USFS) sanctioned event, a coach must be registered with USFS and their name must appear on the list of registered coaches. All skaters, parents, and coaches should verify the coach registration on the USFS web site. When our club manages a USFS sanctioned event, such as a test session or competition, we are required by USFS to verify that all coaches are registered and that their name appears on this list. We are also required to check coach credentials and a photo ID at the event. The intent of coach registration is for the protection of the skaters, the rink hosting an event, the club hosting an event, and US Figure Skating.
